A new Addition

Some of you may think I am falling behind in the blogging area......Well I am!! But with good reason I feel like so much has been happening in our little Family not to mention the holidays. For starters we added a new family member. In November we got a puppy. Puppies are lots of work. We love him though. His name is Rowdy and he is a German short hair Pointer.
The girls adore him and as you can see he loves them. He has been good for our Family.
at the beginning of December however he jumped out of Dave's truck and broke his leg. We weren't sure if it was going to be fixable but with a little surgery, a nice size vet bill, and some prayers he's doing well.

Toughts of Gratitude

I was reminded again recently about the importance of gratitude. As I read Elder Bednars most recent Conference address on Prayer he mentions the importance of gratitude. And so I began thinking about the many reasons why it is so important to express our thanks so often. I must admit I am not as good as I should be in this area. But I do have so much to be grateful for and as the Thanksgiving holiday is upon us I think it would be very appropriate to share some of those things.
1) For my Father in heaven who loves me and walks with me daily.
2) For a wonderful life.(The whole thing, I've had many great experiences in my Life.)
3)For my Husband. He is amazing and I don't always tell him. He works so hard so I can stay home and enjoy the company of my beautiful babes. he's a great daddy. I love him to pieces!
4) For my 3 Baby girls Beans, bugs and Dace. They are my life. I know that they have come into my life to strengthen me and to let me experience Joy in the Fullest. I love them so stinken much that I can barley even begin to express it.
5) For my Mom and my Dad. The two people who have always loved me and always given everything they knew how to so that I could be happy. They are amazing parents.
6) For my Friends. I love them so much and if your reading this wondering if I'm talking about you.... I probably am! Throughout my life I have had some amazing people who have stood by me and made me who I am today and I love them a ton . I am also in a very different time of life now that some may say friends aren't as important but I have found out that that isn't the case for me. I am surrounded by good friends who lift me and help me to be better in every area of my life. I know that life would just not be as bright without them.

I have much more that I am grateful for but these are my main things. I hope that you all have a happy Thanksgiving and that you'll be able to have some time to reflect on your blessings.

Quirks

I 've been tagged again. Thanks Jamie. I am haveing a hard time thinking of any quirks, that must mean I have a lot. Well let me see if i can get the brain working!!!

Rules; 1 Link the person who tagged you. 2 Mention the rules on your blog. 3 Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. 4 Tag 6 other bloggers by linking them.

1. I like to run but before I go out running I have this routine of having to blow my nose, go pee, and I can't have gum in my mouth or lotion on my hands.

2. I don't wash my levis after only wearing them once. I have to get a few wears out of them before washing them. I also like to Iron my levis. (I thought everyone did this!)

3. I hang dry almost all of my clothes. Mostly because I have had so many bad experiences with my clothes shrinking and when you are tall shrinking clothes is never a good thing. It also helps them last longer. BTW I do machine dry socks and under clothes.

4. When I go to sleep at night I have to have all my covers tightly around me almost tucked under me. Dave calls it a cacoon. And I always have to have a cover even if it's hot I use just a sheet.

5.I never walk around my house bare footed. I am not really sure why but I like to have something on my feet weather it's socks, slippers, flipflops.....

6. I can hardly ever watch a basketball game even a professional one without being critical. I always voice my opinion an what's happening and what should be happening. I don't mean to do it. But I catch myself doing it alot. I'm sure it drives Dave crazy.(Sorry hun)

That wasn't so bad. I tag these 6 people, Liz, Andrea, Brianne, Heather, Loni, and Aimee Ellis
Have fun!!!!

Happy Birthday Dad!!

This Handsome man is my Dad. Today is his Birthday. I just wanted to give him a birthday shout out. I love him so much and am so proud to call him my Dad!! He is a great Dad and a very awesome grandpa!! He has definitely won the hearts of my girls as well as mine. My dad has always been very supportive of me and has been a great strength in all of my accomplishments. As I played Basketball in high school there was always one voice I could hear above everyone else and that was my dad, whether it was "Hands up Ray." or "Ray get it together out there."
I also remember a time when I had gotten a speeding ticket(I know not a smart move with a father who is a Highway Patrolman.) Anyway as I went to tell my dad what had happened I told him that me and my car had gotten a ticket and his reply was "then you and your car need to pay the ticket." (which we did the very next day.) But he has always been good at letting us know what was expected. he has shown me what it means to be dedicated to the things that we love and he has taught me that if you want something then you work hard for it.
I could tell you all the amazing things my dad has done but mostly I want him to know that I love him . Happy Birthday Dad. I love you tons

The Royal Ball!!

Breanne and Madi went to a Birthday party today for their friend Kelsey who turned 3. It was a princess theme so they dressed up and headed to the Royal Ball.

This is sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and Snow White. Actually It's Breanne, Kelsey(the Birthday Girl), and Erin. I love this picture. They are such cute little princesses.

The Girls Had so much fun. They played with their friends, ate cake, listened to a story from Cinderella and even got their picture taken with her. I love that we have such good friends.

I love my Girls. They make me smile and they just melt my heart. I hope they know how beautiful they are and that they are truly princesses, with and inheritance to all that is good. Thanks to Andrea(Kelsey's Mom) for Having a fun party.

Road Trip!

We decided to take a road trip down south to Green River Utah(I know, I know Green River Where???) For those of you who don't know what or where in the world I am talking about Green River is a small town in Utah. I-70 passes right by it. It's between Price and Moab. Any way now that you have your geography lesson for the Day!!........ I grew up in Green River. My Grandparents still live there and so do a few of my Aunts and Uncles. Every year Green River celebrates Melon Days and so we headed down to join in the celebration! We stayed in a tent and during the night I got booted off of my air mattress and ended up on a cot. I woke up in the morning to find the little rascals who booted me out. I must say it was one of the cutest pics I've seen.
This was the parade that took place on Saturday morning. We all(my family) made our way down to my uncles grocery store and sat and watched the parade. It was great!! I love going Home! Have you every heard the country song that sings "Down Home where a mans good name and a hand shake are all you need. Down home where they call you by name and treat you like family." Green River is that place for me. I saw lots of family and good friends. I am so blessed to have an amazing Family that loves me and has been such a support for me throughout my life.
Madison and Breanne loved the parade They both had a full bag of candy by the end of it. I would say they made out pretty good!! I think they thought the same thing. Look how excited Madi is.

Everyone got in on the Candy picking up Business!! Even My Gramps. No wonder we had two whole bags full of Candy. My girls loved spending time with my Grandpa and Grandma. I wish we could see them more often. It was such a good weekend.
On Sunday we headed for home. It was very eventful. Breanne had to get out in the canyon and pee in the bushes(not my favorite thing.) and then we stopped to get gas and Madi fell and split her lip, it was bleeding everywhere.(poor girl) And then to top it off... a half an hour from home Breanne tells us that she is sick and has to throw up..........needless to say we didn't pull over quick enough. But we made it home and everyone is doing great now.

Ride up the Canyon

A couple weeks ago we took a ride up the Canyon. We drove up to the copper
pit look out. What and amazing sight! From this area you can also take
a look out over the Salt Lake Valley. (an awsome sight)
The girls love to go for drives in the Truck with their daddy,
they especially like to look for deer.

This is Looking Down into the Copper Pit.

Our Two Munchkins. On the way down the Canyon Dave stopped to Spot deer, Breanne and Madi wanted to get out and Play. They kept picking wild flowers and weeds and throwing them into the wind. Needless to say they were exhuasted by the time we got home .

Growing Up!

Breanne Wanted her ears peirced. I tried to explain all
that went into the actual act of peircing your ears but
it didn't scare her. She loves her new ear rings.
Breanne was very brave. Mommy on the other hand ....
It's just hard to think how fast these last 31/2 years have gone by.
She will start pre-school in September.
My baby is growing up!! I love you sis!
